Wheeee! :D :D :D

My father just ordered a Black saphire on Black leather, fully loaded 745i.
It is going to be here some time in August...can't wait :)

He'd better let me drive it occasionaly, otherwise I won't be cleaning it for him, Noooo Sirrr!

Just sharing :)

If he doesn't want to wait, have him come down to the Washington DC area where all of the BMW dealers each have dozens of E65s sitting on their lots and they're all willing to deal.
Same in Seattle, 5 or 6 on each lot.

My 325i with sport package doesn't handle those turns this well.
Your 325 doesn't have active stability control either...
Guys, thanks for your support and not-bashing-design! :) :D

Dave, right on the point! :) No written contract, I'll probably drive it as much as he does :) and I'll be the sole soul responsible for the up-keep of the vehicle. There's pain and there's gain, so there :)

Nate - I'm taking spring, fall and winter terms, all year-round studying. Paying for my one year of doing nothing in Australia, heh :D

in_d_haus - same in Toronto, 5-6 dealer ordered 745i's/Li's. With quite few options on them, for some reason (no ventilated seats, etc).
Doesn't matter :) As long as my father likes it, since I like it already.

Yeah, but 325i is so much lighter.

Btw, just drove my small bimmer... it's waaaay underpowered :(
I really should stop driving cars that can and do spoil me rotten :banghead:

I have driven my car many times after an E39 M5 and it doesn't feel bad. Slower, but I have never been annoyed at the speed :dunno:
Nate - it's not just the speed, it is everything else too :)

Btw, BMW drivers suck!
I've just gone on a long driving/breaking-in session in the seven, met a few E38's, two M5's and a bunch of E36's...not a single glance in my direction, not a single smile or wave :bawling:

Except for one CLK 430 cabrio who decided to race me :dunno:
I didn't play along, needless to say.
But I can attest to rev-happiness of this 4.5 liter banger :) I really had to be carefull with my right foot, this car is definitely trigger happy :D :D

Oh, and I've found some bugs :D
Voice command thinks there are no addresses in Navi's address book, but there are and you can get to them with i-Drive...
And at a stop sign/red light transmition seems to put itself into neutral, and when you release the brake it re-engages itself. So if you let go of the brake and hit the gas fast enough you'll get a small lurch forward. If you let it engage first and then apply the gas it's all fine.

And one more bug - Saphire black get's dirty reeeaaaal fast :yikes:
Gotta hurry up with ordering those micro-fiber towels, heh.

Welp, gotta go study for now but I'll continue posting my positive/negative experiences if anybody's interested :)
