I have 2011 750 Li xdrive today on my way to Long Island seems like my transmission slipped and got stuck in one gear and the transmission malfunction light came on I shut the car off for about 3 hours, I started it back up and went home, about an hour and a half drive, car drove fine right until I reached home, when I decelerated and then tried to accelerate it did it again, anyone know what this problem is, I'm hoping it's not transmission failure, car only has 55,000 miles

That sounds like it could be your transfer case (part of the xDrive system).

I do need a wheel alignment

^Most likely not related (significant rotational differences between wheels yes, but not anything due to alignment). Seems like transfer case issues can be common, if you search for it, there will probably be a few entries.

Hmmm should I bring to BMW? And is that an expensive fix

Unless you have a independent you can bring it to... Not sure what the problem is, so not sure what the fix would cost. But is anything ever cheap on a BMW?
