one recent thing that's occurred in my 750i is that during the super cold snap (POLAR VORTEX, OMG) the varnish on the passenger side of the dash cracked so now I need to replace it as the CPO doesn't cover it.

SO... I've been half-heartedly looking on ebay for replacements and have found a few interesting looking candidates, but it looks like the wood is either too light or too dark based on the lousy pictures people are posting. That leads me to my question - do all 2008 750s use the same color wood? is there a color code for the wood just like there are paint codes?

Lastly, how deep am I going to get myself attempting to replace this on my own?

It's fairly easy to do - check out my IPOD DIY for instructions on how to remove.

The wood is not the same per car, but you should be able to match up the proper color based on options available at the time.
