Hey everyone, I'm new here, this is my first post. I am kind of in a bind. I need some help for i am an absolute noob at engines and especially bmw. I have a 90's bmw 535i with a 4.0 v8 engine swap from either a 540i or 740i. The car has honestly been a nightmare for the past year because of this major overheating issue and i'm pretty sure it's because of a blown head gasket. My mechanic says it would be cheaper to just buy a new motor and swap it out, and i'm sort of on a time crunch. I was hoping maybe anyone had some ideas as to where i may be able to find another v8 that will work. though i'm also on a pretty tight budget. If anyone can help out that would be amazing. thanks everyone!
