excellent 91 325ix which sat app. 1 year with out starting.run perfect when parked.will crank over,all accessories work but will not start.fires right up with starting fluid.not getting fuel is the problem....any suggestions?.......one more thing,i need a good used passenger front strut reasonable priced?

Could be a few things. If it is firing up with starter fluid then you should look into the fuse and relay to see if they are still good. If they are good then the fuel pump could be bad or you are losing pressure in your fuel lines

Have u verifies spark. Starter fluid will ignite under pressure

Fuel pump running when key on?, Fuel pressure at rail? Are the plugs wet or dry?

So first verify u have actual spark. Then determine if fuel is getting to injectors. If it is check fuel pressure. Needs almost 40lbs to get through the fpr

Warrior the op has already stated in the first post it will fire with starter fluid

Started fluid will ignite with no spark under the compression of the cylinder if enough was added in the intake. Any amount over a one second burst could combust through pressure. Just like a diesel. So it is best to visually check for spark if the only way you have tested it is by the spray and pray tactic. More due diligence will always be helpful.
