I have a 96 318i, it had been running perfect all the time, but last Monday it quit starting. I turned the key to the end, all the indicate lights are on like normal, but nothing happened, no crank, nothing...... I checked the starter, it has no problem, all the fuse are good, battery is fully charged. Now I suspect it could be the ECU system problem. First I'm going to check the DME relay, I did some serch, but still not sure where it located. Could anybody tell me where is the DME relay located on a 96 318i? Any idea is appreciated.

under the fuse pane in the engine bay you should see all your fuses and such. next to that cluster of fuses is a black box with a cap pull that off and there should be 3 relays. Im not sure which one is the dme relay but for mine it was the middle one that was white.
