I have a 98 323is coupe with 190,000 on it, it has a very bad shake / shimmy in the front, I mean it rattles to whole car and shakes the crap out of the steering wheel.
It has new tires less than 4000 miles, I just replaced controll arms and bushings and also the wheel bearings and it didnt help. I was told that the rack could be bad because when you turn the wheel left and right with steering wheel you can hear a slight knok in the rack.

Anyone have any sugestions?
I need HELP please.:(
Thanks
Jeff

There's a good chance you lost a wheel weight.

Thanks for the reply,
That was the first thing I had done was have the tire shop rebalance the tires and they are good.

It could be a number of things. How are your tie rod ends? Could also be your driveshaft support bearing. I'd have it looked at.
