It is on and has been on. Since its been ON... my car has been coasting a lot slower and decelerating a lot faster . The car seems to accelerate as if it is in a lower gear even though its on Drive.

Have the codes read; as steven d posted it may be the TCM, or it may be any number of problems. Search is also your friend; the ABS is a common problem.
