First of all, I am new to the forum so hi to You all!
I just got a BMW 530D mid-2017 and I would like to perform a launch control, but I won't engage following the manual steps. So after a few tries I read that the car has to have a sport automatic transmission which comes with the Sport Plus mode. I'm almost certain that my car does not have sport plus mode because I don't see it anywhere. So my question is, is it possible to add a SAT to my BMW? is it just a matter of download some kind software to my car? Could I add this upgrade at the BMW dealer? By the way these are the steps I am following, just in case I am doing it wrong:

1. Engage Sport mode.
2. Turn the traction control off by clicking ONCE the ECS button.
3. Put the car into manual mode M/S
4. Press all the way down the break pedal.
5. Start accelerating the car (here I don't press the gas pedal past the resistance because I don't want to force the car if it does not have launch control)

If you had it (launch control) the instructions would be in the owners manual built into your iDrive system. But if you don’t have the SAT (as you wrote)…you won’t have this feature.
