Hey,

I have a '91 325i convertable (for about 4 years) and I've been having problems with the fan for my a/c. Ever since I have owned the car the fan has not worked in higher settings (4th fan speed). Recently, I turned on the fan and nothing came out, as soon as I hit the fourth fan speed there was a loud and repetitive clicking noise.. The air cools just fine, it's just the fan that has problems blowing. I checked the fuse, no problem there.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

Just found out that I may need to replace the blower resistor, any verification would be awesome. tips on installation or removal also appreciated.

If the blower resistor goes bad, the fan runs at top speed and none of the lower settings.

Sounds like you've got some trash in the blower squirrel cages.
