Air vents not blowing any air at all

Hello,

I have E46 which does not blow any air from the air vents at all.
Only the defroster blows air from the front windshield.

Planning on replacing the blower motor resistor, but why would the defroster work if the resistor is broken?

Specific model is 320i facelift

it wouldnt fan wise. fyi, the FSU is not a resistor, its a solid state component, PWM controlled by the IKHA. do the fan speed led indicators travel from low to full speed? id read the IKHA module for errors, and see what it says.

Thanks for response.

Yes, I am able to change the fan speed from low to high and so on. But nothing happens since there's no air blowing from the vents.

do you hear the fan running just no air from the vents or is there no fan sound? read the IKHA for errors. itll take a BMW specific scanner to do so.

I hear nothing from the air vents. I do hear the defroster fans and they work fine. Check this image for reference. The air vents that I have drawn a red circle around don't work, but where there is a green line it is working fine.

its the same fan used for the defroster as the other vents, theres just 1. read the IKHA for errors.
When this happened on my car it was the Final Stage Resistor. Replaced it and the whole AC system worked better.

Thanks mate.

I have removed the Final Stage Resistor and ordered a new one. Will keep you updated as soon as the new one is installed. I ordered the original part!

Hey man!

Replaced the final stage resistor and replaced it with a new fan. But now we have a new problem hehe.... Now the car won't start at all after sitting for some while. I'm gonna create a new topic regarding that issue. But all the fans are working right now, but not sure if the car has to be running for the mid vents to work aswell. Guess we will find out if or when I get the car running again...

EDIT: Here is the new thread Help! E46 is cranking but not starting.
