Do any of you have the alignment specs on your E46? Below, I've posted the alignment specs from a recent alignment on my 330i w/ SP. If anyone has their alignment specs to share with me so we can compare, I'd appreciate it.

While my car has firm steering (had the steering retrofit done), it has a tendency to wander and not track straight and I've had a hard time getting this corrected at multiple dealerships that I've tried.

Alignment specs for:
3 Series - E46 (1998+) sedan / coupe / touring (wagon), 17" wheels

Note: Within each row, the first value represents the actual setting, the next two values represent the allowable range within spec

Left front actual range
--------------------------------------------------
camber: -0.54* -0.40 0.00
caster: 4.59 4.56 5.56
toe: 0.06 0.03 0.11
SAI: 0.34
included angle: -0.20

Right front
--------------------------------------------------
camber: -0.51* -0.40 0.00
caster: 4.40* 4.56 5.56
toe: 0.07 0.03 0.11
SAI: -11.12
included angle: -12.03

Total front
--------------------------------------------------
cross camber: -0.03 -0.30 0.30
cross caster: 0.19 -0.30 0.30
total toe: 0.12 0.06 0.22
set back: -0.04

Left rear
--------------------------------------------------
camber: -1.36 -1.45 -1.15
toe: 0.08 0.05 0.11

Right rear
--------------------------------------------------
camber: -1.35 -1.45 -1.15
toe: 0.10 0.05 0.11

Total rear
--------------------------------------------------
total toe: 0.18 0.10 0.22
thrust angle: -0.01 -0.06 0.06

*value is not within specification

Thanks,

JetBlack330i,

Thanks for your alignment specs. Even though my car has the sports package, I get the feeling that they used the wrong alignment specs when they did my alignment because it doesn't say anything about my car having the sport suspension on my alignment report. Plus, your #s and mine vary dramatically.

I'm going to print out your report and talk to my service advisor.

Would you say that you're 100% satisfied with the car's steering feel and the way it handles?

Thanks

PG,

I thought you had the retrofit re-done and all was fine?

No complaints. But then again, I don't think one can feel any difference as long as the specs remain in the recommended range. My before numbers were much different from my current numbers (a couple were even off range), and my car was fine before, as well as now.
I agree with you that your numbers are much different from mine and that's why I posted.
