FWIW, this is NOT the same as BMW's aux in. You DO need a newer radio for that. The Blitzsafe/Soundgate option will not work for people that want to retain their OE changer, for example (Blitzsafe has a model that will let you add an Alpine instead).mh328i said:I have a 2000 328i and I have been using an aux input for a few years now. And a number of people have reported intermittent problems with the Blitzsafe units as well.
