Awesome Job.

Your car really does belong in that TopTen e46 sedan list. Maybe you should send that guy updated pics. Very unique mod. I like it.

Looks good. How does it feel? Is it soft like the M3 wheel?

Vince do you think the green in that wheel would match up with my Grey Green? You're really tugging me in a direction my wife will not be happy I went in:eeps:

Everyone!

Thanks so much for the replies! :D This is overwhelming...man, I am touched... sniff sniff...

To answer some of the comments:

-> Seats can't be "modified" unfortunately. I would think that the stripes will look great on the seats. But nothing is impossible...

-> Switch-tronic wheel is really button shifting. While M3 wheel is paddle-shifting. I must admit that I like the latter, cos of a bigger surface area for activating the shift. Also, the Alpina wheel is "thin" while the M3 wheel is "thick".

-> Not sure if I qualify to be the top ten E46, but guess what? ;) Performance BMW UK magazine April issue has published pictures of my car in their Readers' Rides. Check it out! :D

-> Alpina slut is underrated...I would DO anything just to get a reply from Alpina. And indeed, G. Schuster (sales manager) of Alpina replied and recognized my passion for Alpina and that I am a TRUE customer of their products! :D Oh yes, he will be sending me a package of Alpina goodies to keep me quiet. Also, Alpina wine can't be imported into US due to regulations... :(

-> Also, pple, finally the truth about the mysterious Alpina floormats. I took some pics (will post later) of the difference with BMW OEM. Alpina floor mats are well manufactured compared to the BMW OEM. The stitches are more defined. The under side is rubber velour (BMW has foam) and the fur is much thicker. I am driving with my left foot bare as a matter of fact, cos the fur is soooooooo comforting... :D

-> and finally PM 325ixT, paddle shifting feels REALLY good on a winding road today. Oh my...the dream of driving and shifting with my hands on the wheel and changing tracks on the CD! Hmmmm.... :D

Ok...back to organizing my model cabinet..

And how many Alpina die cast models are there in the cabinet?:D

Congrats on the wheel. You are the reason why there is a secondary market at the fanatics classified board :lmao:

PS. Keep me posted if you can find the 1:18 M3 race car.

Sigh..not enough Alpina models unfortunately :( Those are REALLY hard to acquire since Alpina ONLY distribute to the dealers.

Check this out:

This is at LEAST US$150.

As for the M3 GTR, still tracking down the 1:18 scale. But I think the 1:43 is more likely. Will keep in touch about that...

doh!

Well...frankly, I am not THAT fond of the M3 wheel notches or thumb grips. :p Too thick for my taste! But I must say the M3 wheel does make the driver feel more confident at steering.

hey! I just noticed. you don't get the M3 thumb grips. I drove my favorite back road today and was reminded how nice they are.
