I recently bought a new replacement alternator from rock auto.com for 2001 bmw 325i. It's not a valeo, but a tyc brand. The case is the same, but the new alternator has 2 positive terminal on the back. B1+ and B2+.

Do I need to connect both of them or just the B1+?

You need to get the right alternator for your car with 1 connector.

I ordered the wrong alternator. I have a valeo, but ordered a bosch replacement.
