aluminum trim problem

I just noticed this in my center console right below my passenger window button. The aluminum seems to be rippling. I have cleaned that area a few times with cleaning wipes, but that is it. The car is 6 months old.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? I am going to show this to the dealer when I go in for my first (unscheduled) oil change. Do you think I might be able to get them to replace the center aluminum trim?

here are some bigger pictures:

Yup... You do have Cin... Rare color combo (at least I've never seen one)! Congrats!

Sorry for the OT reply...

It is covered by warranty. I just had a piece of wood trim replaced yesterday because it was fading out. It took about 5 minutes.
In case anyone was wondering, :D my dealer replaced my trim under warranty. I hope this was a fluke...
Spiderm0n-

I think I saw a picture of someone's aluminum trim rippling in exactly the same spot on bimmer.org a while ago. strange.
i have the topcoat of black trim peeling off the center console (cup holder area right below the shifter) and right next to the hazard button. i need to go to the dealer to have it replaced

Mine did that too, only it was on the piece above the radio. I keep forgetting to have the dealer fix it when I take my car in and I don't feel like making a special trip just for that.
