If the picture was taken with a SLR (film based) camera or Digital Camera without white point correction, this is what happens when you take a picture under mis-matching lighting conditions. Tungsten based lights (Halogens and Filaments) require the use of Tungsten film for night time photography, Florescent lights are just simply CRAP for night time photography, and require heavy filtering. Normal film is suited for daylight use only.

Some mid to pro-sumer digital cameras offer white point correction to fix this particular problem.
Yes I'm aware of that, also the fact that this doesn't look like natural (i.e. unaltered) lighting simply because of the way it illuminates everything so uniformly, hence my doubts. But if they say it's real, it must be real!
Also, I don't generally find that most professional photographers take pictures at angles like that either (not to bash anyone for their skills, it's just not the best way to do it).

those halos are very ral. I have them on my car, but the only time they are that bright is at night. Cant see them during the day, and if you have halogen lights, it looks kinda funny. So Im using PIAA's temporarily to match the color, but the light output sucks. In process of getting HIDs now
What makes this car so RICE? The fact that the bulbs are blue in color? I dont understand why people bash others cars, just because they dont like what they have done with their car. What do you get out of it, does it make you feel good about yourself? So what if you dont like the look, why waste your time and knock this car on a website. Have you not noticed that more and more cars are coming with stock lights that have a blue tint to them like this? If modding your car makes you feel good, them I'm all for it, no matter how stupid I think it looks. By the way I have this RICE car on my desktop. Does that make me RICE also?

To each his own.

Don't even sweat it...

Just consider the audience before you post something. This isn't much of a modders board, and if isn't bone stock you're more than likely to have it torn apart by the old dudes. If you want to know about DDEs you need to go on over to e46fanatics.com.

But if you need to know about a TSB or how to fix something, this is the place to be.

Would you mind naming one? Just one will do. Thanks.

All these different BMW forums...this one, roadfly, e46fanatics, bimmerforums, dtm, etc. Each has their own flavor, likes and dislikes...

Freedom of speech and opinion? Or perhaps we're just bored? Could be a combo of both I suppose.

Ahahahahahaha :lmao:

Please give me an example, and don't say audi or acura ... they're purple. And don't say anything pre-2002 either. And furthermore don't make me get into the reasons why WHITE light illuminates better than blue or green or purple or pink or red or orange light.

Precisely, so don't get your panties in a wad when you see others posting their opinions about a particular modification.

Hey Chris, she's doing well. Thanks. She doesn't stop in here at the 'fest very often. Too busy washing dishes, mopping floors, doing my laundry, etc. :D Obviously, I'm only kidding. She has 1400 miles on her new 330i, so I informed her that the break-in period is complete, and she can start kicking the car in the butt. :thumb: I think she's a bit reserved about driving "enthusiastically", although she does take the twisty roads on the way to work with great fervor. She comes home the other night and says "Dave, I found a new twisty road to have fun on!!..." :thumb: Also, drives the manual transmission like a natural. She loves rowing her own gears, and I think that's pretty cool.
We really must go autocrossing to see if she likes it. I'm sure she would. We could both benefit greatly from some introductory lessons at the track.

Nothin cooler than a pair of bimmers at the track, it's a good time you'll definitely enjoy!

Ah, don't pay any attention to them. The car looks nice.
That's NIck's car with original JIM POWeLL DEmon eyes.

it's not worth it. My sister has it and you can't tell at all. Unless you turn off the xenons and it's really dark outside. That pix of NIck's car came out blue, he's using the provide Jim's parts, he did not change the bulb or anything. However in the pix it appears blue. it's not PS at all.

aight I am outta here.
