FYI, for those of you out there who are considering upgrading to Z3 Coupe extended leather, know that the passenger pod comes with the airbag cover. This is not how it's shown in the EPC. I was convinced I would have to recover my stock vinyl one or else shell out another $200 to get a leather one. Not so. It was a nice surprise to get the pod and the airbag cover in the same box.

Did you say that Andy is now handling ALL the leather work?

I put some double adjustable Konis on my M Rdtsr, and as a result, had to cut two holes in the topwell liner to accomodate the adjusting tool.

I am concerned that the "blade" you turn for adjustment will damage the top if it rubs against it.

I used a 5/8" Arch Punch for the holes in the liner, so they are not very big and quite neat in appearance.

I'm thinking about a padded leather "patch", maybe 2" in diameter secured with velcro sewn around the hole.

I would like to hear your feedback on this...

Yes, Andy runs the whole show now. I do little bits and piece now and again.

I could help you if you sent me a dimensioned drawing of exactly what you want. I am pretty busy the next 2 weeks, but after that I could run a prototype for you.
