You updated your map data after running .bin. Now you restored OEM FSC Code, which is not valid for your newer map data. You must install old map data for which your OEM FSC Code is valid.

AFAIK the only thing I can do in the Connected Drive Store is sign up for a year's map updates and then download the latest map, I can't just purchase an FSC code for Europe 2022-01.

I'm not even sure that the car will let me go ahead and install a new legit map update will it?

I guess I'll just have to let the dealer do their updates and go from there.

 

When you purchase and download the map, your Map FSC Code is included in the download. You can install new map with map data and FSC Code.

Car was in the shop. Needed new steering rack. Now I have no Nav and no CarPlay. I get the same "Connect USB device with correct activation code" message repeatedly. I cannot re-install CarPlay update. I cannot install BMW updates. I cannot re-install CarPlay-provided FSC code.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks I'll check it out. Another question, since I restore everything back to factory using the factory .bin, my GPS still doesn't work. I thought factory restore would work?

If CP is triggered, no restore is going to fix it.

 

Another dumb noob question, if it was indeed Component protection, can you clear it or do I have to bring it to bmw dealership to fix it?

following an error in the hu_nbt2 coding, the CAFD file disappeared. I restore cafd file and the system worked again but the navigation system asks to insert USB with the correct activation code. My Telematics module was water damaged, that’s why I was messing around with programming and coding the HU. Later, after more research, had the sim chip swapped from the original to a used Telematics board… flashed it with original I-Step and after two attempts, one wasn’t enough, got it connected to my BMW.
Connected drive works (paid for a year) and is even updating maps on its own. However, it can’t establish a voice call with BMW. ISTA is still suggesting further Programming….

The car is a 2019 M2C and the sunroof was deleted, now it is carbon fiber. When I ask my BMW app with Alexa if the car is “safe” it reports that the sunroof is open. I removed 403 from FA and coded FDZ module. I guess I need to flash FZD? or put a physical jumper on the connectors? Any suggestions?

I installed Apple CarPlay Full screen via USB from one of the coding websites on my 2017 i3s REX that already had Apple Car play activated. The full screen works but afterwards my navigation would only show "Loading" and when trying to activate it, it is showing "Connect USB device with correct activation code". Can this be fixed or best to just revert to original settings and if, how can I do this?

Same problem, bought car play full screen, activated fine. Right after navigation stopped working and when the unit was reset by dealership the full screen was removed but navigation is still not working.

 

I bought carplay fullscreen from flashxcode, but didn't save the FSC for navigation for the first time, so basically you can re-run your solution (if it's similar) and then place the *.fsc file in FSC folder on your USB with map data, it should allow you to do the update.

Hello all,
Have 2018 G32 GT.
2 years ago I installed lifetime FSC (I think) and installed EVO Europe 2022-1 maps. All was working fine.
My car had recall event and took it to the dealer who changed parts BUT also updated and fully reset the software.

So now Navigation wont start at all, says Insert USB with activation code to start navigation.
Can't see maps at all, not even get to the navigation settings.
Dealer says it's not his fault because the maps I had installed were not bought from BMW

Tried updating my F30 2018 navigation from 2018 maps to 2025-1, but when the provided USB with maps is inserted, it just pops-up a message with "Connect USB device with correct activation code to start navigation". Otherwise navigation works fine. AIR shows I have enabling code valid for navigation maps with release date up to 31 dec 2099. It is a WAY navigation

Can anyone help me with this issue. I've had a problem for months in my car with an error "Data on USB device unusable. Please replace USB and try again." this error would go and then return 10 seconds later and has been like this for maybe 4-5 months now. Navigation will not load what so ever so today i purchased the map update from BMW. I've downloaded the file to a 128GB USB stick using the BMW Download Manager. And when i then plug it into my USB port in the car it prompts up to download then tells me "Connect USB device with correct activation code" tried reinstalling it onto the USB and still no luck, I've just about had enough with it now and don't know where to go from here.

Similar situation as many others. I bought a used 2017 330, using ID5; the previous owner used an unknown coding website to activate full screen Carplay, which still works. But Navigation is now asking me to "Connect USB device with correct activation code". Is there a way to fix? Thanks!
