skip it and go for swaybars?
Aero mirrors of some sort. Nice looking, and quieter than stock.

Clears, Lower grill insert, Exhaust tips, Titanium headlight trim

Clears for sure!

For those of you who think the front end of the '02 Sedans looks like a plow, a quick mod is available. I stand corrected from an earlier post, it's not the 33i SP just the stock 330i. However, IMO the different lower insert improves the 325i.
Part numbers follow

Grid 51-11-7-030-596
Grid 51-11-7-016-511
Grid 51-11-7-016-512

About $76 total

I'd also do the exhaust tips.

Depending on the year, Titanium inserts for the head lights. Again - Circle BMW - $58. Good through '01.
Circle BMW has them on sale.
Unfortunately the kit for the '02s isn't out yet although I have seen it on a 330i w/SP.

I would have to agree that amber looks really agressive on a black car. For most other colors I prefer clears, but I really love the way amber stands out against black. (Drive around for a little bit with a 3'er with amber lights and painted black during a bright day on the highway and you'll see what I mean.)
If you have a non-sport 323i, then DEFINITELY get swaybars, even though they aren't exactly cosmetic.

I like clears on OB, Al. :) They just don't quite look right on jet. I need to get some good pictures of my car in the sun... That's when the ambers REALLY stand out.

As long as they look good on OB, I can rest easy. :D

Yes, that's another thing I agree with. Totally clear clears look terrible. :p You NEED the orange bulb in them, or else they don't look good. Silvewrvisions are ugly.

....or maybe the clears look good cuz alee's 330 has the titanium finish in his headlight assembly....

that makes the clears match the whole thing better....

Yep, the orange bulb that comes with the clear lens is included. I prefer the "egg yolk" look to clear lenses with clear bulbs.

And blue bulbs are just wrong. :thumbdwn:

Titanium trim definitely helps. The contrast of the amber bulbs in the clear lenses is what makes clear indicators appealing to me, though.

What swaybars do you recommend for a stock 323i? I have a hunch the best bet is just to get the "sport" version of the OEM swaybars. Don't the aftermarket bars go above and beyond the Sport OEM bars? That would seem to be all out-of-balance with the non-sport springs and shocks.

What do you guys think?

Well, here we go again with that age old arguments of amber vs. clears,
and if clears, then amber clears vs. clear clears.

Did I make that clear enough?:)

Here are a couple of pics from Alex B's JB Bimmer:

I belong to the camp that humbly thinks that clears are a decided appearance improvement
over ambers in any and all cases.

99.995% of the Bimmers in Germany are sold with clears. There isn't anything r-i-c-e-r
about it. It's just people's perceptions that are skewed.

And I think that if you make the conscious decision to go clear, then you should take
it to the limit and go with Silver Vision bulbs that blink amber. A much cleaner look,
again in my humble opinion.

Besides, don't you guys know the cholesterol in eggs will kill you! :tsk: :tsk:

This is the biggest fiction going. There is nothing "Euro" about clears. There are as many amber lenses running around Western Europe as anywhere else.

And you can trust me on this one. I vacationed in France DURING MY WAITING PERIOD between order and delivery. I rented a BMW while I was there. I noticed every stinking bimmer I passed. The overwhelming majority of them had AMBERS. Old cars, new cars, whatever. The bimmers had ambers.

That was in April of 2000. perhaps they sell lots of clears now, but if they do, it's only a current fashion fad, just like it is here.
