Just found out that my car left Bremerhaven yesterday on the Traviata due to arrive in Charleston on the 29th!
Do I have any shipmates out there?

Yep! Me too. Arrives in Charleston, SC on 3/29/02. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
Just curious, when was your car produced? Mine was Feb 14th and it's still not on a ship. They told me today that they probably dont have enough cars bound for Charleston to fill a ship so they are holding mine in the exit port. I find this hard to believe.
Mine became status 150 (Production Started) on 2/21/02.

larhode,
My car was produced the week of 3/4, completed on the 8th, arrived at port on 12th, shipped out on the Traviata on the 14th.
SOunds like they are messing with you or lost your car or something.
Good luck.

Well it doesnt seem to be lost.. just stuck. I cant figure it out but I am trying to collect some ammo so that I can start making calls monday. The fact that yours was produced 3-4 is very interesting. Mine supposedly arrived in Bremerhaven port on 3-4 and there it sits.

Thanks for the info.

Mystery solved. I've just learned mine is on the "hudson leader" on its way to NY. Only problem is that I think they put it on the wrong boat as my car is supposed to be deliverd to Charlotte NC. I thought those cars went to the port of Charleston... hmmm

You can get all the breakin done on the drive home! :D I'm glad you finally found out where your car is, larhode.

Mine came on the Traviata's last trip... docked in NJ on 2/27. I've been driving it for a little over a week now, and love every mile. BMW is right, this car does have it's "moments" millions of times a second. :D

What part of Charlotte? I was born and raised in NC. (I miss home badly!) I worked @ Duke Energy on College St. downtown for quite a while. Just curious...

i'm on it. arrives in nj/ny...

sometime between the 25th and 27th. i've been told by bmwna it arrives on the 26th and while the shipping site states the 27th. additionally, a week ago the Traviata's arriving date to ny was the 25th.

i give up. it arrives whenever it arrives.

ps: my dealer swears i'll get the car this fri but bmwusa.com states i'll get it on april 4th.
