I'm putting the car up for sale next month, and before I do I want to get the car professionally buffed to remove any of the little swirl marks for the next owner. Called around a few places and they want upwards of $600 for the service and that didn't include any other detailing. Plus I have no idea the quality of their work.

Major concern is burning the paint. I'm sure the next owner would rather have swirls than burnt paint.

Thanks.

Thanks, that's not one of the ones I'd already called. Also, thanks for the offer of help! I'm really not sure I want to do it myself or I might start morning the loss even more. Just kind of want to get it done, shove it in the garage and not look at it until it goes in the classifieds.

By club, do you mean the pacnw chapter of BMWCCA? They have a big classifieds section? If it's not too expensive I might join just so I can make sure the car is going to another BMW person.

Yes, I mentioned the local CCA chapter.

Cost is $35/year. For that you get the local and national magazine (with classifieds) Ads are free to members.

If you have or are getting another BMW there are discounts to be had as well.

Damn, I wish I'd thought about that earlier. Still might be worth the $35 to get a captive classified audience.

Unfortunately, I'm jumping ship from BMW to head over the p-car camp.
