WALLENIUS WILHELMSEN COMPLETES RESCUE EFFORT AFTER SHIPBOARD FIRE ENDANGERS CREW OF DON CARLOS

WOODCLIFF LAKE, NJ-February 7, 2002-Wallenius Wilhelmsen is still investigating the exact cause of the early morning fire on board the Don Carlos. A rescue effort to bring medical attention to injured crewmembers has been completed.
Although, the fire severely damaged the starboard engine compartment and several decks on the port side, the vessel continues on its own power at reduced speed.
Wallenius Wilhelmsen expects the Don Carlos to dock in Jacksonville on February 15, 2002. Upon arrival, the remaining undamaged cargo will be offloaded to await the Tricolor expected to arrive in Jacksonville on February 25, 2002.
