I need some nutserts to install my x brace, but the local dealers want $2.xx each for them. BMW suggested price is $0.46. Pacific BMW is selling them for that price, but they want $8 for shipping. Soo, I dont feel like giving in to their prices yet, so does anyone here have access to non-extortion prices? thanks

Are you sure you need the nutserts?

They were already there and waiting on my '98 M3.

What year is your E36?

And are they willing to cut the price with a CCA discount? If you're not a member yourself, I'm sure you could get a local CCA member to help you out and phone in the order or go down with you.

Also, look in the Roundel/local CCA mag for dealers that list a "wholesale parts dept" and call them directly.
mine's a 93 325, and they dont have nutserts preinstalled. I think only M3's have them installed. I am a CC member, but its only a 10% discount. Its less than $10, but its just a matter of principle to me.

My wife went in to the dealership to buy parts for me the last time I needed something and used the eyelash trick to get them at wholesale. This was for small $ stuff. I didn't send her in to get the stuff cheaper (I was just staying in the car so we didn't have to unload the baby from her carseat) but it worked out that way. It's worth a shot if you know someone willing to try this for you.
$8 for shipping at Pacific? They told me $10, and that this was their flat rate that I could add stuff to so long as it wasn't large or heavy. I guess it makes a difference who you call.

If you would like to order the parts together and split the shipping, PM me. $4 shipping wouldn't be all that bad. :D I'm looking at a $23 part for which they are asking $52 locally. I wish the local dealers weren't such rip-off artists.

Even worse, Pacific will charge the $8 or $10 (I hear different $ from different people) even if you cruise over to Glendale and will-call the items.

I can't believe they get away with that. No wonder they quote such low prices!

Anyone tried Alexander Imports

Has anyone tried Alexander Imports south of downtown? They advertise clud discounts in the Roundel. Take the 110 N from the 405, get off on Gage and go East a little ways.

No hook up, but if you're willing to drive out to Ontario, Savage BMW has one of the best parts department. Their prices are insanely low compare to all the dealership prices, and are pretty close to Pacific online prices with the BMWCCA discount.

No shipping fees. :)
