The link I had that told how to do it is offline... (http://216.115.248.194/tipsntricks/tips_pages/navservicemode.htm )

I remember you had to hold down a button for x amount of secs in a certain mode...

Anyone know what it may be?

TIA!

First of all it MAY depend on which Nav model you have.

On the older, 4:3 ratio nav systems, you hold down the PTY button for 5 seconds when you turn they key from access I to access II. Don't know about the new 16:9 systems.

Key to the accessory position.

Turn to the radio display.

Key to off position.

Key to the accessory position.

Press/hold SEL for 8+ seconds until the screen changes.

Use < and > to navigate through the modules, 1-6 to select.

I just did it by following the instructions on the website:

key to accessory
enter settings menu
hold down "menu" button until it accesses the other settings

unfortunately I thought you could change the country code this way but you can't... guess that's a dealer thing?

Country can only be set with the dealer computer.
The older, 4:3 version can set the country code via the secret menu. :p

Hey, loki! Long time no see. I haven't lurked the M3 boards in what must be a year now.

When I left you still had your S2000. Looks like I missed the big transition to the M. Congrats! :thumb:

I just tried alee's instructions and it let me change the country from USA to JAP/CAN/OCE by pressing the 1 button to cycle through them. I couldn't tell the difference on the nav between USA and CAN settings. What is supposed to be different?

Canadian NAV's direct you to the nearest bar and/or hockey game at all times. :thumb:
