I am trying to add an external audio source to my BMW Professional Radio but it seems that the AUX input connector for the Business CD head unit that provides a mini-jack in the glove compartment does not work in the Professional model. :tsk:

If you do have this setup installed, please let me know how you did it. :dunno:

Thanks in advance. :)

I have the JVC KT-SR2000 portable Sirius tuner on my dash
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-UX0N6DbqzSx/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=247350&I=257SR2000
and an Ipod in my cup holder.
I installed the via this aux input device installed in the trunk where the CD changer plugs in (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-UX0N6DbqzSx/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?I=581DFBMW). RCA cables run back up to the front where the Sirius and Ipod are. You switch to the aux adapter through the "mode" button and switch between the Ipod and Sirius by switching "cd tracks" button on the head unit or steering wheel. The great thing is I can listen to the ipod or radio while still browsing the Sirius tuner. ANd of course I can pop the two in my pocket and play them at home too. I also put double 12" subwoofer box and amp in the trunk. I keep the bass on the HU down and turn it up on the sub. This combo makes the system sound 1000x better. No distortion no matter how much I turn it up. The bass is so clean. The low end vibration make my throat and eyeballs vibrate (no joke).
I'm very happy...but I'm starting to get noise from the engine that I have to find a solution for. It's minor though.
