April 12 Production Orders

Well, there are several of us here with production scheduled on or about April 12. I'd be interested to know everyone's progress from now until our babies get on the boat. My 330i was in Status 151 last Friday and is scheduled to be completed before Friday.

In other words, here's something else for passing the time on this long wait. :bawling:

And here's a schedule of ships leaving Bremerhaven for the US.

to Charleston (depart/arrive)

April 10/April 25
April 16/May 1 (2 ships)
April 22/May 7
April 23/May 8
Aprirl 28/May 13

to New York (depart/arrive)
--I know this is supposed to be Port Jersey, Newark, but the shipper's website listed no ships for Newark, so I'm guessing they list it as "New York":dunno:

April 10/April 23 (2 ships)
April 13/April 30
April 16/April 29
April 17/April 28 or April 30 (2 ships)

to Port Hueneme (depart/arrive)

April 16/May 13
April 22/May 18
April 22/May 20
April 29/May 28

Of course, I don't really know that each ship is capable of carrying cars, but I recognize many of the ship names from others' posts about which ship their cars were on. Apologies to 325's being built in South Africa -- Don't know how to compute your shipping information.

I called BMWNA on Tuesday and my car was status 151. I will probably call again late Friday to see if the car is completed. I am keeping my fingers crossed . . .

I'm not sure the car will actually get on a ship next week. BMWNA says that we could wait up to 2 weeks to ship (I believe they will not ship until they have a full boatload) so we might not get out until the 23rd or 24th putting the ship in NY around May 7th. So I am now thinking I won't see my car until at least the 15th of May.

In the meantime, I am spending a lot of my time checking out the posts on this site and going to Bavarian Autosport to pick up some upgrades.

I'll post again on Friday!
I am scheduled to be completed on th 12th as well. I called yesterday and was still status 151

Mine has been at the dock since Monday.
Maybe yours is just waiting for mine to arrive, and then off they'll go on the next ship. :thumb: :thumb:

Well, surprisingly, the Owner's Circle now tells me my car has been built and is awaiting transport. So, either the Owner's Circle is up-to-date or it was built several days ago! Haven't called BMWNA yet to see if it is in Bremerhaven or still in Munich. Maybe I can hold out til tomorrow. Next ship leaves on the 16th....hope I'm on it!

And this for an "estimated production date" of April 12....those Germans are flying!
My car got to the dock on 4/8, and according to BMW, made the boat yesterday that arrives on 4/23. I hope the rest of you with 4/12 production have the same good luck.

So yours is coming in to NY? I just don't want to hear that a full boat just left for Charleston!!!!

Congrats. You are now about 3 weeks away.
Just called BMW, my car is status 152 (in the paint shop) as of yesterday. I am hoping that means it will be completed by today. I am going to keep my fingers crossed! :D

I think you can see what boat you are on by going to this site http://schedule.2wglobal.com/GLWebApps.AppTracking and typing in your VIN. I don't know how up to date it is, but let us know if it shows you on the boat.
The carrier does not have tracking information for my car on their site yet. With luck, our cars are on the boat that continues on to Charleston. Fingers are crossed.
it takes a while for the 2wglobal.com to be updated. Mine on was loaded on the boat on 04/02 and left Germany on 04/03 however the 2wglobal.com showed my car on the boat 4 or 5 days later.

I'm so excited, Rigoletto is supposed to reach Port Bayonne, NJ today; I should be less then a week away from my car.
BTW, soon after your car is on the boat, Owner Circle will show an "estimated delivery" date. Mine is 04/19 (although I hope it'd be earlier than that, the dealer is located only 25 miles away from VPC).
I also had a production date of 4/12. The BMWNA site now says that the car is produced but not shipped. Does that mean I should have delivery in about 4 weeks?
I know I said I would wait until Friday to check the status of my car . . . . but after reading all of these posts I had to find out today :D

My car is at status 153 - Assembly started and it will be finished by tomorrow !!:thumb: :D So, hopefully if all goes well, I'll be on the boat with Darth and TranceLvr. I would love to take delivery in early May. Temp is almost 70 here today and its only going to get warmer.

Keep on posting!
I just had to call BMW. They told me as of yesterday, it was heading to the port on a train. The customer service rep said since I am in the Philly metro area, I should HAVE it within 3 to 4 weeks!:thumb:
Status 193

I also had scheduled production of 4/12. Just got off the phone with bmw and they said car is in code 193. Finished production and at the port of exit waiting to be shipped. Could provide no further info about when it would actually ship other than probably a few days but they have no idea what the "situation" is over there. He said to call back in a few days for a further update.

Jerry-

What are you waiting for, and at what dealer? I just found out this morning that my 330cic is on the Trinidad, due to arrive in NJ on 4/23 (for those using the web tracking, I found this out by calling, the web site still shows "awaiting transport").

I went through West German BMW in Ft. Washington. I've bought from Devon Hill in the past, and use Don Rosen for service.

Selling:
Black/Black '99 328i
Sport/Premium
HK
Xenon

Buying:
Black/black/black '02 330cic
Same options + Cold weather

Check my sig for the details. BTW I dealt with Devon Hill. They gave me the best price plus they are 5 minutes from my house. Our area is very competive so I got a great deal. There are 4 dealers within a 20 minute drive.
Phone # to get Status?

I see everyone mention status numbers and calling BMW. I have a estimated production date of 4/12 and am going through pains waiting. Can someone out there give me that number, or tell where I can find it. Thanks in advance.
