528ia with 120k miles has been making these noises in the engine compartment lately.

There're two distinct noises whether car is hot or cold, a/c off or on and car sitting at neutral:

1) The "whistle" mingled with "prrrrrrrr" at idle;

2) The whine when the engine is revved.
