im still at the dealer 1.5 hours after my service appt.

had to get my car/key memory programmed cause they forgot a couple of things last week during delivery

and .. i had to get my cd changer looked at cause it still wasnt working.

all i have to say is one word...WOW. if anyone in the bay area needs quality service, go to East Bay BMW. They replaced the fuse in my cd changer free of charge...and I didn't even buy it here!! gave me free floor mats while apologizing that they didnt give it to me during delivery.

THey even ordered parts to fix the rattling noise in the passenger side door. Service advisor told me that it happens because a couple of metal clips in the door need to have some rubber seal put around them. didnt have the part so they ordered them.

luckily they got internet access in their customer lounge so I was able to kill some time surfin the fest.

I still just cant beleive the service here. Go East Bay!!!!!

I guess that's goes with the territory--they've gotta spend the $15,000+ M3 markups somehow!!

Hmmm... sounds a lot like my passenger door problem. Is there a technical service bulleting that they quoted on your bill of sale? Do you know where the clips are?

Cheers,

Adrian.
hey adrian. nah..no technical service bulletin. BUT ..my service advisor DID tell me that they have been doing a lot of these lately on the newer models that have HK...thats why they were outta the parts. I think a lot of people have this rattling problem with their HK system...its NOT the speaker..just the metal clips in the door. I wouldn't be surprised if BMWNA does release some sort of a technical service bulletin for this....:tsk:
