So I finally got around to "installing" the Gummi Pflege I bought last month on the rubber seals around the windows. WOW. What a difference. The omnipresent creaking from the window areas (which I had sort of written off as being par for the course) is totally gone. Of course, the car still flexes, but the absence of creaking/squeaking noise when it does really improves the overall impression of the car.

I have no idea how long the improvement will last, but even if I have to re-install every week or so it's totally worth it.

How did you install it and did you use it on the door rubbers too? Does it come off when you run your drying rag over the rubbers after a car wash? Gotta admit, I've done nothing and have very few noises if any...depends on weather (temp) and road condition mostly.

Gummipflege is really a good product. You can even use it to get rid of the fold down rear seats. It really works.

What I like the most about it is that it's not greasy like other silicone products.

Wow, does it turn 4 door cars into coupes too? :thumb: Maybe it'll turn my 330Ci into an M3. I'll have to buy some M badges though. :D

My car has been blissfully free of rattles and squeeks, but during cold weather, the rear seat's do creak a bit at the clips until the interior warms up. This Gummipflege stuff - you get it at the dealer, right? Isn't it a BMW product?

Yeah, Gummiphledge is available at the dealer. I think it's about $9 for a tube, and it seems to last forever... my tube is barely used after almost a year, and I've been using it religiously to keep the seals fresh.

Yes, if you have the abilites and vast knowledge of an alchimist, you can even mix it with sand to gain water :D

Yes, but don't try to be all fancy and German-sounding when you ask for it. I made some sort of attempt at saying "goo-mee-flay-gah" and all I got was a blank stare. The dealer finally asked if what I wanted was "gum-ee-pledge."

:lmao: :lmao:

They learn the blank stare in training. The blank stare is always followed by one of 3 answers:

a. We don't have that
b. We have something better
c. I don't know what you're talking about

A good rep will give you all 3 answers.

Best Buy and Circuit City floor sales folks also get sent to this training facility. :D
