Help. I believe that the carwash guy pulled the trunk lid down on my wife's 7 series (2004), too hard and now the button will not close the trunk automatically. When you push the button to close the trunk it delays a second and then actually tries to open further (like it tries to go up more then stops), so the button switch itself seems to be sending a signal. It just does not seem to know witch end is up when the close button is pressed. Any ideas what caused this and what to do to correct it.
I have closed the trunk manually many times before without any problem. I believe that the wash and wax guy, not realizing that the trunk lid is automatic, just pulled it down too hard/fast.
Oh yeah, hello all! I am a new member. My name is John from Los Angeles and I thank you for any help you can offer with this minor annoyance in a car that we otherwise really dig.
Thanks,
John
