I recently bought a 1997 e39 with a cassette player, CD changer, and DSP. I'm trying to find the easiest and most cost efficient way to create an auxiliary input in my car. I've looked around but haven't found anything that works for my car considering I have the cassette player. I don't want to use a cassette aux cord or FM transmitter so please don't recommend either of those. Any other help would be great. Thanks

There's a hack that involves soldering leads onto the PC board inside the cassette/radio. I can't find the writeup, so you'll need to search for it.

There is also an iPod adapter that plugs into the CD changer connector, thus disabling the changer.

Some folks with the older system have retrofitted more modern double-DIN units, and scrapped the DSP.
