Battery Question

I have a '97 318ti that I want to replace the battery in and wanted some advice on which brand to use. I was thinking about trying to use a Optima gell cell but don't know if they make one that will fit my car.

Go with optima. They are awesome batteries. And YES they make one fot your car.

Ok, stupid question number two. Is there any way to relocate the battery to the trunk? Did the 323ti have the battery in the engine bay or the trunk?

I believe it had it in the trunk. That is the best place the weight is ditribuited all around the car.
