Hi ,

i took out my 2nd key which i didn't use it for a long time and as i started using it i m getting a message on dashboard saying that i have to replace the battery for the key, which was something new for me as i didn't that there is a battery in the remote key. but anyways how do i replace that outside the dealer, can i do it on my own, where do i get battery from?

You've gotta download the pdf manual (from the bmwusa website) and it's on pg 36.
We've gotta give that battery back the dealer and surprise them!! (attached pix)

Thanks for the pic, where do i get the new battery. in any auto shops or any particular stores?

It's the CR2450 type, quite common, and available at places where coin batteries are sold (Fry's, Target, Home Depot, etc.)
