Hi Guys,

I have an e90 2011 BMW 328i with about 59,000 miles on it. About 2 months ago I swapped out the original battery for a Walmart EverStart Maxx H8. I registered it using the Carly app a couple of days after installation.

After, leaving the car sitting for a while I am getting 12.3 volts at rest. While the car running, it is at 15 volts.

Should I be concerned about the 12.3 volts while the car is at rest? From what I have read I should be at least 12.6 volts but not sure what difference it really makes.

I'm not experiencing any symptoms, abnormal lights on the dash or trouble starting. Just want to avoid any near future problems.

Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Try opening the hood and letting the car set.

Try opening the hood and letting the car set awhile with the doors locked.
As soon as you open the door the car wakes up and draws
.5 amps and this tends to drop the battery voltage .
But 12.3 is not worrisome .
