Mmmm...
How much do the 17" variants weigh?
Put 80 miles on the car picking my gf up from the airport... Gah, these contis suck, it was all I could do to stay on the road. The steering sucks, but that wasn't the problem... The contis are so soft that every steering input ends up being delayed. Minute corrections end up coming too late, so the car wanders all over the place. I'll take tramlining any day. :( I am SO glad that they are going to be down to the wear bars within 3000 miles.

Only 3000 left? Ditch them. Why delay? Run right out and get some S0-3's or Pilots!! :D

morning, gents!

um, sorry, geomax, those are only 16's.

don't know how much the 17" wheels weigh, but i'll call and find out. :)

the kumho's are far better than the conti's. that's for sure. the turn in is crisp and obviously they grip far better. tread pattern? stiffer sidewall?

pilot sport A/S tires just got a great writeup in motortrend. they're damn expensive, though. holy cats. even more than s-03s, i think for the 225/50/16 size.

more info on the wheels and why i got them:

cheers,
coky

Those wheels look nice.

I've got my eyes on a set of BBS as well. Problem is the current owner probably won't sell them without the car. They're on the ALMS GT Class PTG E46 M3s. :D

You'd think Tom Milner would let me have them since they're not using them this year. :thumb:

I've got the 17x8 and love the clean look of the rims. Also it's easy to clean. Three wipes per opening and I'm done!:thumb:
