The M62 engine accessory drive is the same as on the M60. There are 2 maintenance free belts:

Belt 1: Crankshaft to A/C Compressor
Belt 2: Crankshaft to water pump, alternator, and power steering pump

The tension pulleys continue to be made of high stress plastic

How can they say high stress plastic,,,, when it breaks down and crumbles away,,, oh oh.. I get it.. it give you high stress... that's what it is...

Those are not maintenance-free belts!!!! They must be replaced periodically.

What this post is informing you people about is what each belt drives. For the people who don't know what the control now they know.
Okay, that's what I figured.

im not knocking em... i knew this way b4 nineteen yesteryear, but that i was getting at was the idea of (let me scroll back up) *and i quote post 1 "maintenance free belts"

cause i want some eff'n maintenance free shet for my car,
