I know that there are other threads on this but with new products coming out all the time, I thought that I would post here with what I was thinking of buying:

I want to have something that will give actual read outs and reset errors vs. just flashing codes. So, I have been looking at a Carsoft 6.5 tool that hooks into a laptop - costs is around $100 shipped (off of ebay). Does anyone else have this tool and can vouch for its ability to actually work?

i have it and it is the best money i ever spent on my car mate

Gives you the errors in English as opposed to digits and you can even get live info. You can reset errors, lights and even activate the windows, locks and lights from your laptop (should you feel the need)

Best $100 you will spend!!!

I was searching (fruitlessly so far) for one of these on eBay the other day.
Do they work on OBD I cars too? For mine is a '95 and doesn't have the full OBD II.
