I personally drive a '01 330i, but my father has a '95 525i and he's in the market for new tires. Do any of you have a recommendation for a tire that blends some performance with a comfortable ride and decent light-snow handling?

From experience stay with Yokohama... if you want quietness, get the AVS dB, AVS Sports (louder), or the ever popular A520. The A520 are by far the noisiest but a classic reliable tire. The AVS dB would be my choice if you want a luxury ride with capability. Personally, I prefer performance over any other aspect of driving, I'd have Parada Spec-2 on there as soon as possible

We have Dunlop SP5000 tires on our Passat, and they're a great compromise of all-season traction and performance. The only downside seems to be that they wear pretty quickly. This tire is highly recommended by many others, too. :thumb:
