According to mapquest.com, driving to Cutter from my house would take 45 hours and 40 minutes and span 2728.07 miles (1215.32 of those miles on I-40W alone).

Oh come on, my friend picked up his E46 M3 from Indiana and drove it all the way home to L.A. over a weekend a few weeks ago...Stopped by in Houston to have his 1,200 mile service.

I heard he was able to hit speeds in excess of 140 mph in New Mexico.

Just rent and set sail in an E65. Heck, these propenents are so gonzo over its handling capabilities I'm sure that since it handles like a 3 series it also must float like a cabin cruiser, too!
