Gents,

Bought a White 2012 35D couple of days ago. Looking to but my twist on it. Does anybody have link for a full black out grille kit? I've find several full front end kits for every other model for right around 100 bucks give or take. Seem like seller are just parting out the pieces.

Hood two pieces inserts $80 give or take.
Bumper top piece $100
Bumper Bottom Pieces $160

Already bought the black emblems and some clear UV gloss paint just throw a coat on just in case.

aside from kidney grills, what else can you black out other than the mesh? Not sure what the hood two piece you're referring to is.

IMO, you should keep it stock color. I have the exact X5 you may have. I have a Sport Package 2012 Alpine White car. With the sport package, I got shadowline (gloss black on the window sills). I think the stock white X5 with titanium slats kidneys and silver mesh along with the crystal clear headlights and aluminum running boards looks perfect. It looks very clean with the just right about of black contrast from the stock bumpers, fenders flares, roof rails and window trim. IMO, the high contrast of white and black doesn't look good on such a big car and will make it look dull and flat, unless you buy the high gloss black pieces.

For me the only thing I would consider changing may be the aluminum roof rails from a MSport X5 just to complete the metal look.

Yeah, not a fan of the monochrome thing.

Compare that finely proportioned car, to this oddly bloated, hulking ..thing:

I, too, have a white X5.
Bought black grilles from BMW (on eBay), and found a black "X5" emblem for the rear hatch, along with black license plate frame. Very happy with the look now.

Why not just buy a can of black plasti dip? Cheap to buy and you can just peel off if you decide you dont like it or need a change

Yes I have the same X5 except my rims are black. It is my intentions to go with the black gloss kidney grill. But I was also looking for the 2 center mesh pieces below. All I can find are the peices sold individually, kidney grill, top center mesh, lower center mesh, total cost 425. If one own the series before or after E70 line you could purchase a single kit that has all 3 pieces for around 135.

I did purchase black X5 logo, XDRIVE 35d, and carbon fiber hood and trunk emblems off amazon. They arrive tomorrow.

I don't want paint them myself due I live in desert, sand will kill a 6 dollar paint job.

You can try a gloss vinyl wrap instead of paint

Can you post a pic of your car? Wondering about black wheels against white. Thanks.

Checked into wrap, cheaper to buy the grille, plus they can't wrap the center pieces.

Check out some of these websites, everybody generally sales the kidney grills. Play around with years into different x5 series. You see were you can purchase just the grille, or a full front in kit for those that carry it. Full frontal kits range from 150 to 300 bucks depending on style as long as they are plastic. However for the E70 series the few websites that do carry all the pieces, each part is sold separately and not as a kit. I was kinda of thinking since the E70 model is so popular that sellers might be parting out the kits to make more money. Just a thought, have no proof other than every other x5 series has frontal kits.

Rh I would love to post pictures but my camera on my phone is busted and what pictures I do have, will not take from imgur. You can private message me, and I can text or email you what I do have. Or just eBay black E70 rims. They look great from the side view but from a front angle, IMO looks a little off with the chrome/ titanium grille we have..
