I recently bid on a part in E-Bay that is supposedly an original Bluethooth ULF module. Now that I won it I find that it doesn't have the same plugs my factory wiring harness has in my 2003 330i. Can anyone tell me for sure if part #84 11 6 938 764 is a Bluetooth module?

Many Thanks!

I've seen that part before .... its made by Motorola, the folks that make the Assist TCU with integrated bluetooth. The thing is, this part has a manufacture date of 9.2003 give or take, which is too early for BT/Assist. BMW didn't introduce that until 9.2004. Therefore, I would say this unit is one of the Assist only TCUs that floated across the 2004 model range ....

You can find it here on RealOEM

Long story ... but BMW were going to release Assist/BT in the 2004 model range, but due to issues, delayed the rollout until the 2005 model range (9.2004). So the 2004 TCUs were only ever able to work with Assist.
