I have had a 2007 BMW X3, for a few months now and I can not get the bluetooth to work. I know it is equipped with bluetooth because there is a talk button on the steering wheel, but I have tried everything, and the bluetooth will not pop up on my iphone 6.
The buttons on the steering g wheel are not enough proof. If you press them and you get phone related messages like ACTIVATE PHONE, NO PHONEBOOK, NO PHONE then you know you have BT. The TCU is in pairing for the first 60s of Turing on the car. You will need the pin code from the TCU label. Pohotos of the TCU are available on google images by searching BMW E83 TCU. Write the pin code on the inside of the handbook for future reference.
