Hey guys, I just wanted to leave a little review of BMC Extreme Customs in case any of you were considering buying one of their hoods or other products. I bought the hood and was told it would ship within a week or 2. Two weeks passed and no tracking number. I contacted the BMC and they emailed me a tracking number a few days later, which turned out to be a fake number they used to shut me up. After about a month of going back and forth with them I finally received the hood. It is supposed to be a direct replacement using original hardware but the factory windshield wiper nozzles do not fit, the bolts do not line up and it will not latch. To make it fit the hood hinges need to be modified and I also have to buy new nozzles that will fit. Also, the area around the trim piece broke off of the hood like it was made of potato chips. Trim installation was impossible without damage. I'm certain that if I left it alone and drove at 70mph it would have shattered on its own. I contacted BMC, told them about all of the quality issues, sent them dozens of pictures, remained polite (as hard as that was) and they are now refusing to respond. I had a horrible experience with this company and it's customer service. Total waste of my money and time. If anyone has any suggestions on what I can do, I'm all ears. Until then I'll just make sure as many people as possible know that they sell high priced garbage.

Perhaps their hoods are made for a body shop to install since they have all the necessary tools for grinding, cutting and custom fitting.

Posting your experience with the company on the biggest BMW forum with the most traffic certainly ought to get their attention though.

Bet we get a response from them real soon.

Go to BBB.com and go throughout their claim service. If the company is really ignoring you and won't face the problems then the BBB needs to be advised. They will be the moderator and help you receive your money back or make it right.

Are you going through their warranty department?

It's also entirely possible they sent you the wrong hood after all that "we forgot to ship it" stuff. Might have shipped a hood without all the necessary information because they misplaced the order or something.

What's the warranty? Even a 1 year limited warrsnty should cover factory defects in quality or workmanship. Hell, every company ever should stand behind their products even this small amount, it's good business.

Do not modify. Dispute with cc will force the company to respond. You definitely have a case here, so don't mess up the hood.

Oh, and it seems like everyone under 30 conducts all business through emails. If you fit in this category, try picking up a phone and speaking with someone at the company.

Hello people. I have a little story to share with you, a story of how I found my first bmw e60. So I had a pile of junk that needed to be taken away so I asked the guys from junk removal scottsdale for help. After they loaded the truck, its driver felt sick and couldn't drive it away. Having a driver's license for this kind of trucks I offered. When we arrived to their storage I saw a dusty figure of a car in the distance and approached it. It was an old bmw e60, in a very bad shape. They had no need for it and let me take it as compensation for helping the driver. I am now repairing it.
