Hi all, Im just a little worried with my car. I just bought it from a dealer 3 months ago and was working fine at that time. The problem now is, every morning when I check my car oil..its relatively ok, as in near to full! but when im drivng for like 30 mins to 1 hour the oil warning signs is lit and its in the minimum level ( orange color warning). Is this due to the motor or how i ran it? when i physically check on it, its relatively full and i just topp it off a month ago.

BMW 120i 2004 model

Please help!

If you bought it from a dealer it would have 3 months warranty? I would take it back and have them look at it. There are alot of things that could be an issue including the type of oil that is in it and how it reacts at high temperatures. Topping the oil off is problematic if you dont know what kind is in there already as you could be mixing viscosities. I recommend you get it looked at as soon as possible to avoid any engine damage.

Agree with Horizon, I take it that your model is a "Dip stick" as opposed to electronic dash indicator which takes time to give a correct reading.
The ECU may be over-reacting to an overfill situation.
