Hello everyone I have a 2001 BMW 325i that has gone into limp mode several times now.. when it first went in to limp mode i took it to a transmission specialist to get it fixed.... he "fixed" it and test drove it and I picked it up and all was well.... then a few days later I was driving home from work then it went in to limp mode again so i returned it to the specialist and told him what had happened and he said i was under 1 year warranty and he will look back in to it.... he then called me 2 weeks later and said the transmission is ok there is nothing wrong with it, no transmission slippage and transmission fluid is clean not burned or contaminated.... but the car was still in limp mode... he said it is in limp mode now because i have to reprogram the EGS transmission control module with DIS CD 42.0, or higher.... so i took it to get the TCM reprogramed and after that all was fine no limp mode and the car ran great..... then a week later.. I was driving the car and stopped at a stop sign rather quick I broke and then hit the gas as I turned right and the car went back into limp mode so i pulled over and turned the car off and back on then it went away..... a few days later I was at a red light and out of nowhere it went back into limp mode (i was idle) i pulled over again then did the same as before turned off and back on and the limp mode went away..... what else could be causing the limp mode.... a bad battery? please help.... Thanks

A battery near the end of it`s life can cause all kinds of weird problems. Have yours load-tested, and replace if less than perfect.
