My BMW assist sumscripyion needs to be renewed. Can anyone tell me if I need BMW assist in order for blootooth to work with my phone. Also is it possible to stream music through my phone?

You don't need it for Bluetooth, but it may help you with spell check.

It is possible to stream music through your phone, but I think you have to have enhanced bluetooth to support that function.

If your BMW Assist is up for renewal your car must not be a 2012 and is therefore an E9x, not an F30.
