i just bought a 1986 325 e30 and when i turn off the car and take out the key the dash lights and other lights stay on. in order for the battery not to drain i must unplug it. can anyone help with this fix?

might be the interment cluster relay, the way to test this is to get your horn relay and stick it in your light relay spot. If the horn stays on..... you know it just a bad relay

at first i was gonna be a dick, but honestly im not sure man
have a friend, or small child... (or if they are the same person)
sit in the front seat and start unplugging relays.. when the lights go off you found it (the only relay that it wont be is the Main relay)

The main relay is located in a seperate location from the fuse box. It is next to the airbox in a group of three.. consisting of the fuel pump relay and the horn relay
