I have a 95 BMW 540i and the seats are pretty rough rips and tares etc and I have a 91 BMW 525i that's a junk car witch has perfect seats and I took them out and tried to install them in my 540 and the wiring harness matched up but didn't work and their was other harnesses that wouldn't plug up so the power seats wouldn't work is their any way to bypass this? The seats in my 540 are the mtek seats and they have memory seats and other things has any one ever had this problem?

My advice would be to splice the wires and use the orginal plugs.

Your best bet would be to swap the upholstery and the seat covers. It is allot of work but well worth it. Getting the seats from the older car into the 540 to work will be a major PIA. You would need to replace the wire harneses. That is a great deal of rewiring. It can be done but much better to have the MEM (if you have memory seats) and the heat and everything seat, working like it should.

Now I've heard of similar issues. I did the swap but the other way around.
My sport seats plugged right up with zero issues and they're memory.

Otherwise CD is right. Better to swap out the materials then to splice harnesses.
