My bmw 523i 2008 air condition starts cooling after 10 to 15 mint and work fine. It happens approximately 90% and some time ac not starts cooling at all. Went to ac technician he checked gas pressure and says its ok, i an not getting any fault message also. Anyone please tell me the strp hy step procedure to rectify the fault.
Note i am in Dubai (UAE) and you may know the temperature.

is likely the ELECTRONIC CONTROL VALVE on your compressor

I agree with this opinion. However when this problem occurs, BMW and it's dealers do not replace just the ECV valve, they replace the entire compressor which includes the valve. Here in the U.S. this is a $1,200 to $1,900 job (including labor) depending on where you take the car for repair. This is an extremely common problem in the E60 cars.

Thanks for suggestion, i think i have to check the entire ac cooling system. Some please help me that how to check and rectify the problem. Before replacing the ECV or compressor i just want to know finalize the problamtic equipment. Thanks in advance
